I don't know how many of you all went to the show tonight. I was kinda eh today about going but ended up going just because It's been a long time since I saw Ill Nino.
I got there during Droids set. I didn't like them at all. The music is nothing special and the singer trys to sound like a mix between Hatebreed and every other band that sounds like that. I was happy when they were done.
Now I am not comparing BMH to 40. I know BMH is a whole new band and that is how I judge them. They played a bunch of new songs but they just don't do anything for me. I wasn't into the songs and I really didn't like any of them. That being said, I think the new guitarist is excellent and a great improvement over Ryan. I wish the guys the best of luck and I hope they succeed in whatever they do, I'm really just not into the music.
Ill Nino was well Ill Nino. If you have seen them live more than once than you know what I mean. They only played 1 new song and it sounded pretty good live. Why Ill Nino doesn't switch up their set list is beyond me but I think they are making a mistake by doing so because I like them but if they play again in the next 6 months here I will not be attending. They also bullshitted too much and could have played more songs but Christian decided to talk about politics and other nonsense which I thought was very annoying. They drew more people than I thought there was going to be. Every time I think Ill Nino is on the verge of being finished they end up coming out with a new cd.
So did anyone else go and what was your thoughts about the show if you went?

Took way longer than expected to get there and I missed Black Market Hero unfortunately, but got to see everyone for a bit anyway and say hello... Ill Nino was alright, I've never gotten into them too much.

Ok here is my rundown. Like usual I showed up way to early and there was a million and one bands but were used to that by now. I didn't pay attention much to the bands before BMH and Ill Nino, they just didn't do anything for me. I missed With Daggers Drawn which is a bummer but I'm sure they were fucking awesome.
Angel did an outstanding job playing, he really complements the band and has enhanced a lot of their songs (imo). Song selection was ok, it was nice to hear new material though I much rathered have heard some of their older songs.
Ill Nino as previously stated was simply Ill Nino. Full of energy and I liked the song selection although I agree with satan that they have a pretty predictable and consistent set list. Also that the rant about politics wasn't necessary and they had their family members up there which is kind of cool for the band to do but they could've played more songs if it wasn't for Christians rants.

Well at least its nice to hear that Angel is doing some justice for BMH and I think its great that we have new songs. I just hope that we still hear plenty of older songs on an official release rather than a ton of new ones.

Yo guys!
Wanted to say thanks for all of you who made the show or made a valiant attempt to make it. For me the show was pretty exhilerating. Some of the bands were pretty stock and easily replicable. But we did our thing, tore that shit up and had a blast doing so!
To answer Chris's question, no unfortuantely playign bare foot didnt come to mind for some odd reason. I play barefoot as an act of humility- I'm no "guitar god" or someone who should be placed on a pedistal. I'm a human who plays guitar ya know. I will be barefoot at the next show- no doubt!!
